Dragonstorm: Oblivion left Hair on the soap

Creation of a good game setting requires a bung of little pices coming together.  Mostly I feel that the story can be a good root but the players make the tree.  Case in point:

They are still talking of kidnapping.  Kinda unheard of ...

So let's go back.  I am currently running (SW/GM) this Dragonstorm campaign I am naming Oblivion: Wilde Hairs ...  The quick blurb for a DS Con (not sure I can go after all)  was that there are a group of about 50 furries that really want to be left alone.

I let out a teaser that they may have kidnapped a guy and that some info was wanted to be found in a later game (for a con).

So the PCs set out to find the Hairs.  Some Information gathered:
1) 2 Leaders
  - Wilde Hairs: Big brawny tigrean (greeen in color... think Battle Cat from He Man but walking)
  - Doberman: Sleek martial artist type of canid (dog)  has a code of conduct.

They have 30/20 split between forces when attaching en masse.

A huge storm (read: Intelligent) is chasing the Hairs the fun thing is Wilde has a semi girlfriend in Oblivion... The storm hit Oblivion badly. It was searching for some Crystals the Wilde Hairs took.

Some of the PCs (Rogue) have been mentioning kidnapping the girlfriend.  The Valarians in the campaign have been taken aback somewhat.  All in all this is not a path I would have seen coming, nor do I want to right it (in campaign) with a plot train.  Suffice it to say, it has been really interesting to see how much the world will change with their actions.
