You have to relax, write what you write. It sounds easy but it's really, really hard. One of the things it took me longest to learn was to trust the writing process. Diane Setterfield

I've realized that being happy is a choice. You never want to rub anybody the wrong way or not be fun to be around, but you have to be happy. When I get logical and I don't trust my instincts - Thats when I get in trouble. Angelina Jolie

Before success comes in any man's life, he's sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps some failures. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and the most logical thing to do is to quit. That's exactly what the majority of men do. Napoleon Hill

Happy Humpday (grumble)
Fam, I have been writing. Writing a lot and sometimes not making sense. My actors don't talk to each other, I tell more than I show and just.. it's just.. .well its my process and that's how I define it. My head literally hurts with all this literature and while closer to more cohesive thoughts I am farther away from cohesive deeds.
Last month I collected and on the first I wrote several pieces as hooks for bigger stories. I started a lot of new pieces for NaNoWriMo this weekend during a gathering in our region (Aukee - encompassing Milwaukee, Ozaukee and some other places I am not remembering). I am going to one such gathering tonight. Hope to have more on 2 of the stories I am working with if not more, possibly expand the pieces, it depends on what the actors are talking about or what the place is showing me to show you...
Problem is, fam this writing creatively and working logically is not an easy feat.
I am a creative person, IT is logic based. I have put up mental walls so that one didn't leak into the other. Some people call it compartmentalizing but it's a bit more in depth for me than that. These emails and my music are two of my rare doors that allows me to flex, to write, to do something creatively and not pay a penalty. If you talk to logical people creatively you can get a headache easily. If you talk to creative people logically they will see you as speaking alien languages. That's how it's been for me to have a career in IT, a degree in English (creative writing, although I don't always respect the canvas as you know) and exist in both places.
Fam it's not just that tho'... If I am writing and in the mindset to writing and it's a fixation, obsession, focus grabbing monster and it's hard to come up for air sometimes. I compare it to the act of pulling yourself away from a good conversation with a great friend to answer the door for some irritating kids asking are your kids home. You try to go to the door and answer and that bell keeps ringing, you can't find the snooze button to end the dream and you cant unlock the door fast enough. In a phrase, creating ain't not easy. Sometime its frustrating as ingrown toenails and most of all you can lose where you were, your character stops talking to you, your plans and framework fails and falls down. You are lost and can't get back to civilaization with all the sane logical people. I have done that so many times .. it started this whole non-NaNo phase and now I am trying to juggle that.
That's where we will start and end fam. Life is a juggle, it's a creative bent and logical standard. We go on a spectrum and sometimes can find the middle ground. Do what you like to do fam.
Tis humpday add doing what you like to doin what you want to do and get through to the weekend.
If you see the camel, flick some ink into it's eyes and clothesline it yelling, "Mike knows his name!"
Peace
